Understand what your jaw does at night. Then change it.

Teeth grinding and jaw clenching aren't a disease. They're a habit your nervous system learned — and habits can be retrained.

Bruxism is not a disease. It's something your jaw does.

It's the medical word for your jaw muscles doing work you didn't ask for — grinding, clenching and bracing, awake and asleep. These may sound like silly or harmless behaviours, but they can have real consequences. Instead of just slapping a mouth guard on for the rest of your life to protect your teeth, wouldn't it make more sense to try to stop it?

Here's how we help:

See it. Release it. Retrain it.

Overload a muscle often enough and it complains. The fix is ordinary: find what's loading your jaw, take that load off, and stop it coming back.

See it

Find where the load is coming from.

Some jaws work at night, some all day. First find out which is yours.

  • Check-ins that catch you clenching at your desk.
  • A diary that spots what sets it off.
  • A sensor that measures your jaw while you sleep.

Release it

Take the load off.

Your jaw won't relax because you tell it to. These teach it how.

  • Guided exercises for jaw and neck.
  • Self-massage for the muscles that ache.
  • Breathing and meditations that let the tension go.

Retrain it

Stop it building back up.

Habits change when something catches them in the moment.

  • Prompts by day, so you catch yourself faster.
  • Biofeedback at night: a tiny nudge at each clench, and your jaw lets go. You sleep through.

At least one in five people grind or clench in their sleep.

We didn't know that either — and once we did, we couldn't unsee how little was actually being done about it. So we left our careers and built it ourselves.

In their words

From our community and our first users

“I've been dealing with night-time teeth clenching since I was a teenager — I'm now 40. I've tried everything including Botox. JawSense is the first bit of hope I've had in ages.”

Slept through the cues

I was worried I'd notice the cues at night. I didn't — I slept through, and the report in the morning was the surprise.

Saw how much it happens

It's so interesting to see how much I'm actually clenching and grinding my teeth. I finally understand why I feel so bad in the morning.

Finally stuck with something

I didn't expect much — I'd tried a lot of things. What surprised me was how much I liked having something structured to follow, and not doing it alone.

Better than the physio's

Your exercises are better than those the physio gave me. Tongue positioning has been so interesting to try during the day. Helped a lot.
